About SecurityVP
SecurityVP is an independent cybersecurity practice. It builds two software products and provides consulting to technology companies, all led by one experienced security professional.
The founder
Oleksii Kushniruk has worked in professional cybersecurity for more than ten years, across both offensive and defensive security. That work has included CISO-level leadership, application security, penetration testing, security architecture and hands-on security engineering.
The consulting work at SecurityVP draws on that background directly: the person who scopes an engagement is the person who does it. The same experience shaped the two products. The SecurityVP Platform grew out of managing security risk and vulnerabilities in practice, and Normdiff out of keeping track of the standards and regulations security teams answer to.
SecurityVP is deliberately small. It is not a large consulting firm, and it does not present itself as one. Where an engagement needs more people or a specialism outside this background, that is said up front.
